| BBC iPlayer on Freesat |
A VOD (Video On Demand) version of BBC iPlayer is available on Freesat, there are no live TV or Radio streams available.
You can catch up on the last week of BBC programmes with BBC iPlayer on your Freesat receiver or TV.
There are two ways to access BBC iPlayer on Freesat, through channel on
901 (BBC iPlayer), found under the On Demand genre sectuion, or by pressing the RED BUTTON on your remote from a BBC TV channel.
BBC iPlayer is not available on Freesat SD (Standard Definition) receivers.

| What you need |
| 1. BBC iPlayer. |
2. You will need an actual broadband speed of 1Mbps to watch BBC iPlayer, or 2Mbps to watch in high quality. With speeds lower than 1Mbps, programmes may not play smoothly and you might experience interruptions.

3. The most reliable way to connect is with an Ethernet cable. These are best suited if your broadband router is situated near to your freesat box or freesat TV.

Or a Homeplug Adapter, these enable you to connect wirelessly, for example if your broadband router is in a different room to your freesat box or freesat TV. |

| Accessing BBC iPlayer on Freesat |

| Go to the BBC iPlayer channel on 901 |
| |

| Press RED on your Freesat remote. |
| |
|
You can access iPlayer by pressing the RED BUTTON, while watching a BBC TV channel.
BBC iPlayer is listed on the main menu, page 7001. Press OK on your remote. |

|
Home is the first page you will see on the iPlayer. This shows a selection of the most recent programmes shown on BBC TV.
Use the LEFT & RIGHT arrow keys on the remote to browse. Press OK
This will take you to an information page. Here you can see how many days the programme is available for, any parental restrictions & allow you to choose between normal or higher picture quality. Press OK.
If a programme contains adult themes, you will be asked to confirm that you are over 16. Once you have confirmed, your programme will automatically begin to load if Parental Controls are turned off on your Freesat receiver. Choose 'Find out more' if you want to use Parental Controls. |

| Channels |
| Please note: There are no 'live' TV streams on BBC iPlayer on Freesat. |

| Once you have chosen a channel (highlighted in pink), press OK. Choose by categories or channel. |

Choose the programme you would like to view, either through 'Most Popular', or by date.
Select the desired programme (highligted), them press OK on your Freesat remote.
You will then be able to view programme details, along with the broadcast date & time. |

| Press OK on the remote to pause the programme. |
| |

| Press OK to continue, or use the arrow keys to fast forward or rewind. |

| You can also find & select a programme by category, select the cagegory you want to look in, then press OK. |

| Search Function |

| Use your Freesat remote to type in the name of the prograame you want to find. |

| Typing in the first letter will bring up all programmes starting with the same letter. |
| |

| The more of the name you type in, the more refined your search results will be. |
